Line into My Mind 3:400:00/3:40
Head first. Heart follows.
I'm a 17-year-old indie singer-songwriter and child of the world. While Fremantle, Australia is my hometown I've called LA, Santiago, Mexico City, Wrexham, Brisbane and Sydney all home at some point.
Having just dropped two new songs – Line into My Mind and Rush – I'm now working on a full debut album for release in 2025.
I've cut my chops busking for the past 5 years in Freo. Along with my twin brother, Maxi, I've been creating music on keys or guitar since picking up the instruments around a decade ago. I play three main guitars: a Schecter C-1 FR S SLS Elite, a Charvel San Dimas, and a Taylor 324ce.
My first interest was punk and progressive rock. In 2019, as a new entrant to the contemporary guitar program at John Curtin College of the Arts, I formed First World Warriors with my mates, winning the school’s huge Battle of the Bands competition in Year 7 and again two years later in 2021. The band played at the Highway to Hell tribute concert under the ‘Rainbow’ in 2020 and also as part of the Future Treasures line-up for the Fremantle Festival in 2021.
While the band has been put into slow-mo for the past couple of years, my focus has extended to my own indie/alternative work. My lyrics are reflective and fragile and the music more eclectic, picking up folk and Latin influences. The songs I've pulled together for my debut album traverse my shift to adulthood. They talk of innocence and confusion, but hopefully people see a bit of ‘old soul’ too. It's a real untethering from childhood and convention.
My influences are many, ranging from Novo Amor, John Mayer, Grian Chatten, Ben Howard, Bon Iver, Radiohead, Paolo Nutini and Daniel Johns, to the progressive guitar of Polyphia and Plini.
